Zach C. Winfield, Ph.D.
Zach Winfield is a sixth year Ph.D candidate in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He received his B.S. in Chemistry and Computer Science from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2014. Zach worked to analyze persistent organic pollutants and metals in baleen whale earplugs and is currently developing methods to quantify hormones in earplugs as well. Zach has served as an assistant in the Graduate School responsible for STEM Professional Development (2017-2019) and as a graduate fellow for the Academy for Teaching and Learning (2015-2017).
Marie Stephensen, M.S.
Marie received her Masters in Environmental Science in the Spring of 2018. She received her B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2015. Marie investigated the air quality in Delhi, India during 2009. Her research focused on the fate and transport of organophosphate esters.
Adelaide Clark, Ph.D.
Adelaide received a degree in Chemistry from Emory and Henry College in 2011. While attending Baylor University she developed an extraction method for anthropogenic chemicals, such as pesticides and organophosphate flame retardants.
Lissette Aguilar. Ph.D.
Lissette is from Veracruz, Mexico. She studied biochemical engineering (ITV’05) and a M.S in environmental systems (ITESM’08). Lissette participated in one-year internship with the City of Waco’s Mount Carmel Water Treatment Plant. While attending Baylor University she developed standard operating procedures to measure Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products in large volumes of drinking and wastewater.
Eleanor Robinson, Ph.D.
Eleanor received her B.S. in Biochemistry from Baylor University in 2008. While attending Baylor University she developed methods to analyze whale blubber and earwax for current and historic-use pesticides, PCBs and PBDEs.
